Five people were injured Saturday, March 26, in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Ambrose Street and Memorial Drive. Jennifer Taylor, 32, of Waycross, had visible injuries, but was not taken for treatment, said Capt. Benji Hersey, Waycross Police Department Patrol Section Commander. Three juveniles in the Taylor verhicle lso were injured and were taken by ambulance to Memorial Satilla Health, Waycross, for treatment. The other driver, Keivas Mack, 30, of Folkston, along with a juvenile passenger in his vehicle, also were taken to the emergency room for treatment, said Hersey. Taylor was cited for a stop sign violation, Hersey said said. Taylor, driving a 2019 Dodge Journey, was crossing Memorial Drive from Ambrose Street and failed to yield to oncoming traffic at the stop sign. Hersey said she drove into the path of the Mack vehicle, a 2008 Chevrolet Impala, who was headed north on Memorial Drive. The 12:12 p.m. accident was investigated by Officer Kenny O’Bara.
