WAYCROSS — Coleman Edwin Foskey, 82, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at his residence in Waycross.
Foskey was born October 10, 1939, in Adrian, Ga. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a son of the late Clifford and Henrietta Foskey of Mershon.
Foskey was formerly employed with Winn Dixie Food Stores in Jacksonville, Fla., for many years but retired as a food broker for Winn Dixie.
His joy was serving the Lord as a deacon at Lakeshore Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Upon arriving in Waycross, he moved his membership to Sweat Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, Foskey was also preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie “Margie” Foskey; the mother of his children, Patricia Fain Foskey; two brothers, Herbert Foskey and Darrell Foskey; a sister, Linda Barnes; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Foskey; four brothers-in-law, Joe Davis, Tony Dixon, Paul Dell and Jimmy Yarbrough; and two nieces, Wanda Sue Foskey and Christy Dixon.
Foskey is survived by two children, Debra Foskey of Jacksonville, Fla., and Eric Foskey (Stephanie), of Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Logan Foskey, Luke Foskey, and Lochlan Foskey; two brothers, Richard Foskey (Carla Meeks) and Wayne Foskey (Paula Taylor); five sisters, Sara Dell, Joyce Woodcock (Charles), Nancy Davis, Frances Dixon and Ann Yarbrough; a sister-in-law, Betty Foskey; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends of the family, Charles Hamilton and Phillip Barnes.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, May 14) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
