WAYCROSS — Deborah Franke Williams, 65, died Tuesday afternoon, April 19, 2022, at her residence after a brief illness.

Mrs. Williams was born April 23, 1956, in Grand Rapids, Mich., to the late Wayne Leon Franke and Betty Ann Crane Franke. She grew up in Michigan, but she lived in Spring Hill, Fla., during the 1970s before moving to Waycross in 1982. Mrs. Williams was a 1974 graduate of Hernando High School in Brooksville, Fla.

She was formerly employed for many years by Shoney’s and Holiday Inn, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Waycross. Mrs. Williams enjoyed sharing memories with her husband by attending University of Georgia Bulldogs and Jacksonville Jaguars football games, the Daytona 500, The Masters and the TPC golf tournaments.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams also was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Lee Williams; and two brothers, David Franke of Spring Hill, Fla., and Paul Franke of Hudson, Fla.

Survivors include her children, Jennifer King, Allison Holt Herrin, Ashley Holt Watson (Matt), Brad Williams (Christy), Rachel Williams Grimes and Matthew Williams (Sarah); grandchildren, Jessica Ann Mervine, Kellie Pringle (Andrew), Taylor Mervine, Grayson King, Jaxon Herrin, Ellie Gosse, Matthew Watson, Jr., Haddie Watson, April Grimes, Betty A. Grimes, Logan Williams, Laine Williams, Kami Williams, Layla Williams, Annabelle Williams and Graham Williams; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Destiny, Conner, Bailey, John and Annemarie; one sister, Liz Franke of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, April 23, 2022) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m today at the funeral home.
