UNDATED — Kailie Rosemary Joe, was the eldest daughter born on November 17, 1978, to Venita Joe and the late Bertram Joe.
On Monday, May 9, 2022, God called Kailie home because her work was fulfilled on this earth.
Kailie leaves to cherish her legacy, her mother, Venita Joe; sister, Airiel (Jerome Dunson) and Loretta (Tony Brown), brothers, Curran Joe and Daryl Joe; nieces, Trinity Joe, Shanjiya Smith, Jada Brown, and August Dunson; nephews: Tony Brown Jr., Justin and Tristan Melendez. Uncles: Nathaniel Davis, Carey Davis (Ness), and Larry Joe; great uncle, Norris Hansford and Sammy Davis Sr.; great aunt, Carolyn Davis; cousins, Patricia Green, Charles Greene, Shirley Oliver, Michael Greene, Naajaa Davis, Dominique Davis, Brandon Davis and a host of distant cousins; God children, Lamari Harris, Jacquez Harris, Amouya Williams, Raven McFadden and Courtney Bradly; fur babies, Turnip and Pepper; and a host of friends, and many more who loved her.
Kailie was raised in Waycross and graduated from Ware County High School in 1997. Shortly after graduating, Kailie moved to Jamaica Queens, N.Y., to begin living the life of her dreams.
Kailie Rosemary Joe was a gift, one handpicked by God to bring unity, laughter, love, hope, joy and so much more into the lives of many. Her life, presented in the form of a gift, has impacted numerous individuals whom she’s encountered in every city, place, and continent that she has graced with her presence.
She has lived beyond her years and leaves a lasting legacy that exemplifies using her God given gifts, talents and abilities to begin, finish, and complete the work in the earth that she was put here to do. Kailie’s passion was for social justice and equity for everyone embodied the daily principles she lived by.
Kailie has an extensive professional background which included working for companies such as NBC Universal, Milbon, Fox News, Ferrara’s Beauty School, L’Oreal, and Jet Blue. She’s had the privilege of going to the Grammy’s and the Academy Awards styling celebrities, working Red Carpet events, and NY fashion week. She also worked independently as a freelance hairstylist, and was in affiliation with The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees working on many TV film projects that took her around the world.
Her education background consists of attending Long Island Beauty School for Cosmetology, Borough of Manhattan Community College where she received an Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts, and York College, where she was currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in business management.
Kailie exercised the life principle of John 9:4 (NIV), “As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.”
She understood that her life was a precious gift, allowing God the space to maximize it by giving of herself unselfishly to herfriends, family, and every life that she greatly impacted.

Kailie’s final resting place will be a graveside service at 10 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2022, at Edgewood Cemetery, 4519 Edgewood Drive, Jacksonville, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, to respectfully honor Kailie’s wishes and loving memory, the family ask that all contributions should be sent to Breonna Taylor’s charity.
